In the ÖBB Karawanks tunnel, 160,000 m² of tunnel wall surface over a length of 8 km was cleaned. At the same time, the dirty water was reprocessed so that it could be used again for cleaning. For the work, the large-area cleaner (including crane assembly), the water treatment system, and the water tanks were mounted on wagons, and the cleaning was carried out directly from there.
